Greetings ta-ta supporters.  Welcome to the informative chemo-updating, cancer-ass-kicking and general life celebrating world of Amy Halliburton.  Here you will learn an array of matters including the intricacies of Amy's cancer and updates from the doctors.

This blog was created as a way to keep all loved ones updated at once without a particular handful of people answering the phones thirty times a day (as much as we love talking, there is laundry to be done sometimes..).  If you have any questions please feel free to comment on this site and we will make sure to answer everything in the subsequent post.

Lastly, thank you all for your concern, your support and most of all your love.

  2. Thanks so much to Tracy and Jess for doing this and keeping us updated. Amy I also just wanted to add that im keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and know in my heart that you'll come through this (probably with a smile on your face). You are one of the strongest women I know and there's no doubt in my mind that you'll have a full and healthy recovery.

P.S. On a lighter note, I met a rotweiller puppy yesterday (7 weeks old!) named Chance and it made me think of you guys.

  5. I'm an older relative, and this "blogging stuff" is completely new to me! But what a great way to keep up on Amy's progress and send our love and prayers for her recovery. Hey, I was there when Carolyn and my uncle Buzz brought her home from the hospital, so I have some history with this girl!!! Lots and lots of prayers and good wishes for "our Amy."

  6. I'm using all the tools you taught me to keep perspective on all your news. So, I'm visualizing an ass kicking of this cancer to friggin' outerspace, out of this universe entirely. My "intent" is to do this hourly, daily, and always, so we can get back to shopping wherever the road takes us. For now, if that means at a Chemo treatment on our Macs, so be it. Bring your wireless card and we'll be set. Love the blog. Perfect. Love you.

  20. Dearest Amy,

Well, it totally sucks that such a beautiful person like you has to be challenged like this, but know you will conquer this #%*#% cancer with all your might, and grace, and humor. You are amazing and it is an honor to know you. I send you & your family my love and prayers and know you will be feeling better soon.

    Awesome blog, and adorable haircut.

    xo,
your friend and former sub teacher Lynn

  21. We know a little bit about miracles and the amazing healing power of love and I gotta say, drink it in!
    Keep laughing.
    Keep blogging.
    Cry when you need to.
Make friends wherever you are. Hospitals can be incredibly happy places in a very weird way.

You are a fighter, Amy. That can get you very, very far.

We send you love, any extra miracle ju-ju we have, laughs, virtual snuggles and Simon sends you sweet, sweet baby goodness.

This is going to suck AND you're not going to have to do it alone. We're all right here.

  22. Hi Amy,
You know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. You CAN get through this!! You have amazing family and friends for support and that is the most important thing. I know that is what helped me to get through this disease. Just take all of the help your friends have to offer...it helps them cope as well as you :)
Sending hugs to you and your family. Please call me ANYTIME day or night if you need to talk to someone who has been there.
    Love,
    Courtney

  24. My dearest Amy.

I love you. I wish I could have written you a little note on one of Mary's women on the card. It would have told you to close your eyes and imagine all of us on Wednesday giving you a big group / bear hug. Let the power of us all flow through you and keep you safe during this part of your journey on this glorious earth.

    Much love to you.

  26. Wowee, Amy, what a fab blog this is!!! So fun to read, to follow your journey, to look at your cute mug! Your comment about sense of hearing sharpening post boob loss was only semi-accurate...all of your senses seem to have sharpened...most of all your brilliant sense of humor. It is so like you to make all of us feel better in the midst of this huge challenge of yours...I love you and have sent prayers & whatever powerful thoughts and images I could summon up from Nebraska and the jury room...please let me know what I can do to help or when I can come visit. Much, much love, Debora de Wednesday
