Finally

After almost nine hours, Amy is officially out of surgery!  As Cathy mentioned earlier, the lymph notes came back negative, there weren't complications during any of the procedures and the doctors expect a normal and healthy recovery.

Amy will most likely be in the recovery room for another two or three hours after which we'll post another update to let you know how she's feeling.  

The energy that everyone has been sending today has done wonders.  Sleep well and we'll be sure to touch base soon.

    So good to hear that she is on this side of things! Thank you Jess for the update. Please give her a kiss for us and tell her we love her. And take the pain meds...they really do help!

    Jessica, this blog was such a great way to keep us all informed. Yesterday between 2 and 3 I just kept hitting refresh on the browser (I was supposed to be working)then Nancy called me and told me to check the page again. Amy-I ran 4 miles for you yesterday, the last one was in the rain so it counts more than the first 3.
